Lanjutkan Moratorium Sehingga COVID-19 Selesai, Cadang Ahmad Maslan

KUALA LUMPUR, 16 Dis – Setiausaha Agung UMNO Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan mencadangkan agar pemberian moratorium dilanjutkan sehingga COVID-19 yang melanda negara benar-benar selesai.

– UMNO ONLINE

Lanjutkan Moratorium Sehingga COVID-19 Selesai, Cadang Ahmad Maslan

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 16 – Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan has suggested that the loan moratorium be extended until the COVID-19 that hit the country is completely completed.
Ahmad, who is also the Member of Parliament for Pontian, gave the following suggestion when touching on Clause 4 of the Temporary Measures to Reduce the Impact of Coronavirus Disease Bill (RUU) in the Dewan Rakyat here today.
He added that it can be implemented based on Clause 4 of the Bill, which is for any party to perform any contractual obligation arising from any contract due to the prescribed measures can use the settlement through mediation or ‘mediation’.
What I want to ask and ask for clarification is how with the moratorium on repayment loans for homes, cars and businesses is everything that can use an intermediate solution so that those who are involved in problems but find it difficult to repay the loans.
“And when the loan moratorium is lifted, they will start paying it and this is a burden from the people because this COVID has not been fully completed. There are some other variants after this.
“So if we only limit the time from Jan 1, 2021 to Dec 31, 2021, it cannot be considered helpful because even next year, which is only a few days away, the disease is still not over,” he said.
Therefore, he hoped that the extension of the moratorium would be considered to help the affected groups, especially among the B40, M40 and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
“Therefore, I would like to suggest that what we want to amend, the time should be extended until COVID is completely completed.
“So that when the moratorium on contracts has to be paid after that, let’s say they have to pay from months one or two to three, the people can still apply for mercy, consideration from the bank so that they can extend the moratorium on loan repayments in certain cases,” he said. again.
