KUALA LUMPUR, 30 July – Party President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today thanked the Registrar of Societies (RoS) for giving approval to its Constitution amendmentl yesterday.

He said that after such a long wait, the RoS finally approved the amendment proposal decided at the General Assembly last May.

“Thank you RoS, thank you to the grassroots throughout the country who are equally standing firm with the party leadership fighting for it, even though there were few parties trying to derail in.

“When all members and representatives are united and determined to support the amendment, the dissenting voices of a few who tried to reject it have now been proven wrong in determining their attitude and stance, which is clearly against the majority voice,” he said in a FB posting.

The Bagan Datuk MP said it reflects Umno’s maturity in handling it, how i remain patience and steadfast in restoring its house after the defeat in the 14th general election.

“Followed by the victory in Melaka and Johor state elections, the enemy’s attempts to shake us by their disparaging conduct, have failed. However, the leadership will not not stand on their knees to them.

“Congratulations to all Umno members who stay with us in our struggle,” he said.

He said again, may this new Hijrah year bring blessings to Umno and all Malaysians
