KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 –  There is no politics of vengeance in Umno or if the party wins the next general election even though former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak is jailed because of selective prosecution.

Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says Najib was made to pay a high price after contributing well to the country and its people.

“He dedicated 46 years of his life to the nation. However, he has to pay a high price to it. Malaysians should consider this,” he said when officiating the Makkal Sakti 14th AGM here on Sunday.

The Bagan Datuk MP is also confident that Umno/BN will make a comeback in the 15th general election.

“If this happens, we will not harbor any vengeance. We dont have that vindictive feeling against anybody.”
