UMNO condemns the burning of the Holy Quran by a Swedish-Danish leftwing politician Rasmus Paludan in front of the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm, recently.

Its president Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said in a statement that the act was a mere provocation against the Muslim World.

“Paludan has also went against the right of expression being practised by the multi-religious society of the world.”

Meanwhile, Umno’s Majlis Ulama also heavily criticised the action.

Its chairman Dusuki Ahmad said it reflects hatred sowed by the Paludan against the freedom of religion internationally.
