APPOINTMENTS for the local councils in Selangor will be finalised next week after Umno agreed to the seat allocation.

Tourism and Local Council Exco Ng Suee Lim said yesterday the meeting recently saw Umno agreed to the 20 seats offered to them.

“The meeting was a success.

“Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari has signed the letters of appointment on behalf of Pakatan Harapan, and the swearing-in ceremony will be held next week,” she said as quoted by he officer.

An earlier report said Umno did not agree to the offered for 272 new local council appointees.

There are 12 local councils in Selangor.
