DEPUTY Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi begins his three-day official visit to the Philippines today.

In a statement Sunday, Wisma Putra said Zahid is scheduled to meet President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr and vice president Sara Duterte in Manila.

“As the minister in charge of disaster management, the deputy prime minister will also lead Malaysia’s delegation to the the 10th Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reducement (APMCDRR).

He will also attend a welcoming ceremony hosted the the President.

The visit is also hoped to bring closer the two countries in various cooperation.
