UMNO Sabah has dismissed Ilham Centre’s findings that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) holds the edge in the state’s coming election.
Its information chief Suhaimi Nasir said Umno respects the findings but it was done without a thorough study on Sabah political landscape.
“What was the criteria for it?,” he said.
Suhaimi also said the country’s political history has seen how parties with stronger machinery failed to notch victories.
“Umno will prove it in the 17th state election,” he said.
He added that his findings, otherwise, shows growing sentiments over GRS under Hajiji Noor failure in addressing three major issues in Sabah, namely water, electricity and roads.
“More Sabahans are losing faith in GRS, and corruption is anothing issue plaguing the party.”
