BN offers a rigorous oversight manifesto

BARISAN Nasional has pledged to closely monitor the implementation of its manifesto commitments for the 17th Sabah State Election, setting specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and National Key Result Areas (NKRA) to ensure the delivery of its promises if granted the mandate to govern the state.

Speaking at the launch of BN’s comprehensive Rancangan Pembangunan Sabah Satu (RPS1) manifesto in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday, BN Chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi expressed confidence in the coalition’s ability to reclaim leadership in Sabah.

“I will monitor each initiative personally. We will establish KPIs and ensure that NKRA are scrutinised in detail. This is my determination, and the determination of my colleagues in Barisan Nasional and the federal government, insya-Allah,” Zahid told attendees.

The launch was also attended by BN Deputy Chairman Mohamad Hasan and BN Sabah Chairman Bung Mokhtar Radin. The RPS1 manifesto outlines six key pillars and a range of initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s economy, safeguarding Sabah’s rights, and improving the welfare of its people.

Zahid further assured that, if BN is entrusted with governance, the coalition will allocate additional resources to support rural constituencies. “Although not fully itemised in the manifesto, I am confident that the people of Sabah demonstrate extraordinary enthusiasm this time,” he added.

He also condemned attempts by other parties to sway voters with cash handouts, reportedly ranging from RM300 to RM1,000.

“That may be fortune to take, but the hearts and votes belong to BN. Surely we will not allow RM300, RM500, or even RM1,000 to condemn Sabahans to hardship for another five years. We seek development as promised in the manifesto,” he stated.

Zahid concluded by thanking campaign workers from Sabah and across the country who have supported BN candidates in the state election.
