Umno-BN loses 8 seats, winning only six

BARISAN Nasional lost 8 from 14 seats it won in 2020 when it only managed to secure six State Assemblies in Sabah 17th state election which ended yesterday.

Most shocking is when DAP lost 6 seats it won in 2020 dan didn’t win any in all 8 seats it contested.

Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) won most seats with 29, Warisan 25, Pakatan Harapan 1 and others 12, including five Independants.

Hajiji Noor of GRS was sworn in as Sabah chief minister for the second term in Kota Kinabalu around 3.30 this morning.

BN which contested in 45 seats saw its heavyweights Yakuban Khan lost Karambunai to PAS, the only seat for Perikatan Nasional in Sabah, while Salleh Keruak lost Usukan.
