BARISAN Nasional (BN) retains Kinabatangan parliamentary dan Lamag state seats in by-elections on Saturday.

Its candidates for Kinabatangan, Mohd Kurniawan Naim Moktar polled 19,852 votes defeating Warisan’s Saddi Abdul Rahman who garnered 5,638 votes and Independent Goldam Hamid with 946 votes, registering a 14,214 majority votes.

In Lamag, Mohd Ismail Ayob won with a 5,681 majority votes by defeating Mazliwati Abdul Malek of Warisan.

Ismail garnered 7,269 votes to Mazliati’s ,1588.

The by-elections was called after the death of incumbent Bung Moktar Radin on December 5, 2025.
