KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 – UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on all members to take the opportunity to strengthen Barisan Nasional and Muafakat Nasional at the Branch Meeting which began on July 15.

“Convene with full manners and mahabbah and comply with SOP (standard operating procedures) security. Together we rise to save the country. May Allah bless our struggle,” he said.

In a Facebook post, Zahid, who is also BN chairman and Member of Parliament for Bagan Datuk, also congratulated all members.

In line with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) provisions, the UMNO Management Meeting had on July 6 decided some new dates for UMNO branch and divisional meetings, State Conventions and UMNO General Assembly.

As scheduled, branch meeting has been set for July 15 to August 31 and divisional meeting from September 15 to October 31.

Meanwhile, the State UMNO Convention will be on 1 November to 23 November and the UMNO General Assembly on 25 to 28 November.

The dates were shifted from the previous ones following the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (PKP) in March due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
