BERA, Jan 3 – UMNO Vice President Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob urged UMNO members to be more wise and stay focus to win each and every seat that UMNO/Barisan Nasional contests in the 15th General Election (GE15).

He said, they must not let emotions in charting strategy for GE-15. “Do not be afraid and perturbed with what other people do but think what we should do to win GE-15. We continue to cooperate with all parties including MCA, MIC and PAS except DAP and PKR.

“After losing the GE14, Pakatan Harapan (PH) dominated DAP have challenged the rights of the Malays and Bumiputera, humiliated Allah, the Rulers and even sold what belongs to the Muslims, We must continue to protect them,” he said.

Ismail who is also the Member of Parliament for Bera, said this in his opening speech at the UMNO Women’s, Youth and Puteri Division Delegates meeting yesterday.

“Do not worry they use money to buy our members because the members who can be bought are not eligible to be in UMNO… UMNO needs fighters and loyalists who are not easily obscured by ringgit. Our struggle is for the sake of religion, race and country, so I congratulate all parties who are still loyal and work hard to ensure that UMNO continues to stand strong and return to power.”

At the same time, he stressed that UMNO must always have ties with the young.

“The UMNO wings must engage with young people. If we fail to reach out to young people then they will definitely turn to other parties.

“The Malays must unite and avoid divisions… Malay parties need to avoid collisions that could divide the Malay votes,” he said.

In his speech, Ismail Sabri also informed the stand of UMNO Bera which does not support the movement of certain parties to bring the party to support Anwar Ibrahim and DAP.
