KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 – UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi called on all party members to remain united and make the Federal Court decision as a moral booster.

The court chaired by Chief Justice of Malaya Tan Sri Azahar Mohamed yesterday rejected the application of 16 former UMNO members to start a judicial review for UMNO’s declaration as invalid because it allegedly violated the constitution.

Zahid said, UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) must rise in GE15 for the fate of the people and the nation.

“Make this as booster to our machinery, members and supporters. The sacred party will continue to survive and God willing, will return to power. Let’s not forget who these 16 are. Let there be no more among us like them. We must also be sensitive to who is behind.

“To all UMNO members, let us unite, do not be another Si Kitol (traitor) as in the past history,” he said in a statement. Earlier, he expressed his gratitude that efforts to dissolve UMNO were unsuccessful.

“Alhamdulillah. Thanks be to God. Their efforts to ban UMNO were unsuccessful. They failed when they rejected the application of the 16 former UMNO members .

“They failed in bid to challenge the party’s legitimacy, failed to get a court order to dissolve UMNO,” he said.
