KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 26 – UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the party members are not crazy for power amid this difficult time since loyalty remains their main thrust.
He said that in light of continuous slanders that UMNO is still engulf with internal problem. “There are words that KJ and me are at a major squabble during this month of Ramadan. Enough of it please, stop this bad disposition,” he said in a Facebook posting, today.
UMNO, he stressed out, is always solid although there may be differences in opinion among its members. They trust each other and are aware of the tactic by political enemies to wreck the party.
“They are not power-craze. Even in this difficult time, their loyalty remains intact. I sometimes wonder why are they scared of UMNO? Together with Barisan Nasional (BN), we were beaten in GE14 by slanders and lies. We are not even the main force in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.
“Although we helped them to form the government, they still insult and bully us to the extent of labelling UMNO leaders as animals. Is this a noble thing to do during Ramadan?”
Zahid who is also BN chairman said they should instead focus on how to win the voters, show good governance, creating jobs for the people, stimulate the economy and make Malaysia attractive to foreign investors again.
“Avoid flip flop by embarking on the right policy during this pandemic. Manage the Covid-19 by speeding vaccination the people. The people will surely love them. This is political maturity.
“The main threat to the government i Covid-19 and not UMNO. Manage the threat and not us. I am puzzled why they are afraid of UMNO and forgotten the thousands daily rising case of new infection.”
He said they were blaming UMNO for their inability to administer the nation.
“They were afraid with UMNO rising to occasion that prompted them sending some ‘parasites’ to ruin us. With Allah permission, the party machinery will be strengthened to face next general election. The people will evaluate BN, PH and PN,” he said.
