KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 – Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan outlines three things if UMNO wants to celebrate its anniversary.

He said the future of the party is in Gods’ hand but its up to members to chart it.

“In its ups and downs, we members must together decide how we can adapt to changes. Never be carried away by nostalgic way which is obselete. Do away with the glory of yesterday when the present era is not as promising as before.

“Secondly, accept the intergenerational as important members as others. Our IQ is not reflected on ages but the quality of ideas.

“Thirdly, keep on upholding the thrust of UMNO and safeguard the loyalists and not those opportuning it,” he said in a speech on the party’s 75th anniversary today.

Mohamad also thanks members for their loyalty amid some difficulties of late.
