RCI must take prompt action on ex-DG, ex-IGP allegations

KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 – UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi seconded Pemuda call on the government to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate allegations by former Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas and ex-IGP Tan Sri Hamid Bador.

“The revelation by both who had led respective organisation in the government are very serious, notably where politics and graft were involved as this organisations are the frontliners in upholding the virtue of Constitution, Judiciary and Security,” he said in a statement.

He urged UMNO ministers keep pressing the government to speed up its formation.

“The RCI can combine for both cases since this is paramount to regain the people’s trust on the Judiciary and National Security,” he said.
