KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 – Information Chief Shahril Hamdan said many fake posters and infographics demeaning Umno were produced in the last 24 hours.

Even some mainstream media headlines were also deceiving and sensationalised.

“The headline ‘Umno sokong PH’ (Umno supports PH) was deliberately chosen because our stance not to support MAGERAN.

“I believe many out there are not comfortable with MAGERAN, including among those not supporting Umno,” he said briefly in a Facebook posting.

“This doesn’t mean that the parties speaking the same note support each other. It’s absurd.”

Earlier, a media report carried a deceiving headline over a statement by Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that the party oppose any move to reintroduce MAGERAN.

He said that after an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
