KUALA LUMPUR, June 26 – Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki agreed that the government must be pressured to look into the people’s demand, especially today marks the 46th day they are locked up under the Movement Control Order (MCO) 3.0.
He said, not all citizens have a fixed salary and the majority depend on daily income, notably those self-employed.
“When the lockdown was imposed without any assistance such as PKP 1.0, it left many people depressed and desperate which led to some of them took irrational action,” he said in his FB posting.
Umno Youth is among those who consistently urged the government to approve the people’s applications, including special assistance to those affected by MCO, extension of automatic moratorium for all groups including M40. Among desperately needed are access to i-Sinar 2.0 and i-Lestari 2.0.
Earlier, Asyraf Wajdi slammed leaders who were more interested in commenting on the #kerajaangagal campaign when the people wanted the know the rationale behind Minister of Housing and Local Government to allow ‘Ah Long’ operate immediately.
“You are only adding to their problems,” he said.
