KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 – The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) is still defending the opening of the manufacturing sector which is the biggest contributor to Covid-19 cases, Youth chief Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
He said it has caused the people to suffer more as a result of the Movement Control Order (PKP) which is half -baked.
“MITI Minister (Azmin Ali) feels like he is right and still defends the factory operation.
“All data shows that the main cause of Covid-19 transmission is from the factory. From the beginning, the Movement agreed to a 14-day ‘total lockdown’ provided it was imposed strictly,” he said in Facebook.
Dr Asyraf added that the people were tired and exhausted because they were forced to undergo a six-month curfew and MCO which has claimed the lives of more than 5,000 people, not including the suicide cases which exceeded 600 as at today.
“If you are still stubborn in defending the manufacturing sector, there is no point in continuing the CMCO or Total Lockdown! The people are forced to be confined while the towkays enjoy making money at the expense of the rakyat,” he said.
