KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 – Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said various issues will be raised during the special Parliament session next week.
In a Facebook posting today, the Pontian MP said those are important matters need to be approved by the Parliament.
“It is understood that according to Article 150 (3) of the Federal Constitution, the Emergency Ordinance must be put for debate and approved. Hoping it will be done next week,” he said, adding that he has made preparation of such issues.
“I am prepared for the debate. Other matters will also be brought up,” he said.
The special session will commence for five days beginning July 26.
On Sunday, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliment and Law) Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan was quoted as saying that Members of Parliament are allowed to seek and give whatever views during the sitting.
