KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 – Umno Headquarters has informed that the President’s Cup Oratory or speech competition 2021 will be held in October with prizes to be presented by Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi himself.

It is a continuation of the online speech competition concluded in 13 states recently, organised by Umno Malaysia Information Committee (PUMAS), States and Divisions.

The aim of this competition is to nurture party speakers with good oratory skills, one of the conditions to become a good leader.

To ensure a smooth implementation, thorough discussions were held among Secretary General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Information Chief Shahril Hamdan and Executive Secretary Datuk Sumali Reduan at the party’s headquarters.

Three best participants from each state made it to the finals, bringing the total number to 39 aged between 19-50 years old from both sexes.

The competition began in 2010 when Ahmad Maslan was the Information Chief. It stopped for a few years and resumed this year.
