Its the grassroots who reject PPBM – Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 – Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that Umno’s decision not to cooperate with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) in the next general election (GE) has been finalized and it reflected the voice of the grassroots.
“Not just a ruling by the Supreme Council (MKT) and the General Assembly. We are also of the stand to reject any form of cooperation during the Perikatan Nasional government, and this stays.
“In conclusion, all resolutions of the 2020 General Assembly are focused on GE-15 which will be held as soon as the Covid-19 pandemic is contained,” he said in a FB posting.
He said, GE-15 is very important to return the mandate to the people in order to create strong political stability in the country.
“Regarding the formation of the Malaysian Family government after the PN government collapsed last August, it is to ensure the continuity of government administration. It is only temporary before Parliament is dissolved to make way for the GE-15.
“The interim government was set up with the consideration of the political situation which is still unstable while the people are plagued with the pandemic.”
According to Zahid, Umno must prioritize the people at all times, whether in the short or long term.
