KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 – Treasurer Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has slammed those who openly have malicious intentions to discredit the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also Umno vice-president.
He who received a graphic related to the PM’s 100 days KPI said effort to link Ismail Sabri with the acquittal of Umno Sec-Gen Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and also former PM Datuk Seri Najib and his wife is evi.
“This is something that should not happen, let alone using the social media to spread untrue slander because of Umno,” he said in a statement via his Facebook page, today.
The Member of Parliament for Putrajaya said all must bear in mind that cases involving legislation cannot be intervened by any party, let alone politics.
“We have the supremacy of the Constitution and the Rule of Law contained in the Rukun Negara. All parties should not be influenced by slander and the spread of such evil graphics, instead follow the actual report and make an assessment without taking a short cut or without understanding the right thing.”
Tengku Adnan explained that Ahmad Maslan’s case in 2019 was due to a compound that was too high, which was 50 times imposed by the MACC to which he agreed to fight it in court.
“Regarding Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, he was allowed to go to Germany for treatment while Datin Seri Rosmah applied for a passport release to accompany her daughter who lives in Singapore to give birth soon. The same goes for Datuk Seri Najib. These are all decisions made by the court, not any politician.
KU Nan’s arguments:
1. Is the reason for the prosecution imposed on the Umno leaders (who did not jump) is justified when those who jumped party were ‘released’.
2. Isn’t the prosecution carried is political?
3. Does this also mean that there is an agenda to ‘kill’ Umno leaders capable of leading the country?
4. Isn’t dragging Umno’s top leadership to court an agenda to damage its reputation as the only party that has brought development and progress to the country?
In this case, Ku Nan cited instance of how DAP leadership only consists of the children of Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh, as well as PKR which is surrounded by the family of Anwar Ibrahim, while Parti Pejuang is the children of Mahathir and a few other names.
