Remember what happened after GE14

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 – Party President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reminds the people in Melaka not to forget what happened after the 14th general election when the national political stability deteriorated, the economy was in doldrums while national integration at its lowest level.

The people were accused of laziness and asked to tighten their belt instead of waiting for the government’s aid.

He also says the country’s diplomatic relation was badly affected, national revenues ransacked while the government cronies made it rich.

“More saddening is when the national history wanted to be amended, the Bumiputera rights were sidelined, the Constitution was mocked, royal institution not respected and rule of law not upheld. The democracy was also suspended for them to stay in power and using the pandemic issue as an excuse,” he says in a FB posting.

The Bagan Datuk MP says the reminder was not aimed at anybody but as a redemption for Melaka voters return to Barisan Nasional.

“Do remember that BN has fought their wrongdoings during that period, something which was not easy for its leaders to do for the better future of the nation and its people.

“Once again, I would like to remind them of the hardships after 9 May 2018, of how a government installed over lies and slander took a tumble finally. The country was ruled by a bunch of actors who couldn’t keep up to their own promises.

“So, the voters in Melaka should avoid any manipulation to the country by opting for Barisan Nasional again.”
