The political geography has changed, says Noraini

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 – Wanita chief Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad said the political geographical situation today needs to be given deep focus and attention as it is different from the past.
She said this is because the new trend is seeing how voters in urban or rural areas have a change of aptitude, especially in preparing for the next general election.
“We are now seeing a new norm to the political geography which is totally different than before… for example those in rural areas can be conventionally predicted but what about ‘sub urban’ and ‘urban area’.
“That is why Wanita and the party need to think of the most practical way for us to face this scenario,” she said today.
Earlier, she and Parit Sulong Wanita held a division delegate meeting officiated by its division head Datuk Zulkurnain Kamisan.
In her speech, Noraini who is also Parit Sulong Wanita chief said that they are always alert of any situation.
“They did not leave when Umno lost. They stayed together when Umno was no longer had power. They continued serving the party, and I think the delegates in this house deserve to be called the ‘best mothers of the nation’.
“Here, I would like to express my appreciation to JR Parit Sulong who have worked hard to help the party, without expecting any remuneration and return, and what I am most impressed is, when we lost, some people approached me trying to lure a handful of our female members to join them.
“However, I noticed that no one was shaken, even JR’s loyalty, especially in Parit Sulong, remained undivided,” she said.
