KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 – Umno has rescheduled its 2021 General Assembly (PAU) to March 16-19 2022. This was confirmed by Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan in a media statement issued after the party’s Supreme Council (MKT) meeting tonight.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, no hybrid meeting will be held since all 14 delegates from each division is allowed to attend it.
“All five delegates from each wing will also attend it. Nevertheless, all SOPs must be strictly observed, among which are using MySejahtera application, sanitizer and others,” he said.
Details of the assembly are:
March 16 (Wednesday) – Deputy President Dato Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan officiates the Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri assembly
March 17 (Thursday) – The start of Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri assembly
March 18 (Friday) – Party President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to deliver his keynote address and officiates the General Assembly.
March 19 (Saturday) – Final day of PAU.
The assembly was earlier slotted for January 13-15 but was postponed when party leaders and members were involved in aiding the flood victims nationwide.
