SENGGARANG, March 9 – Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan refuted an allegation by Bersatu Information Chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan that Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has actually named Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi as the candidate for Johor mentri besar.

He said Hasni’s name was singled out by the BN chairman.

 

“Allegation by Wan Saiful is a mere lie. PPBM is lost with lies and strategies in the state election. Don’t believe and trust those people,” he said here, today.

The Pontian MP also said the opponents have realised their mistakes, leading to some of their local leaders and members to come back to Umno.

“We accept them. If they are sincere, they won’t put up any condition, for instant wanting some positions in the party,” Ahmad said.

Ahmad expressed his confidence that Umno/BN will come out as victors in the state election.

“However, we will put up a strong fight.”
