KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 – Puteri Umno strongly condemns acts of violence against children.

In a FB posting, its chief Datuk Zahida Zarik Khan said the case involving a woman abusing an adopted child recently is regretable.

“Another case of child abuse, this time a guardian abused an adopted child.

“It is hoped the perpetrator will be prosecuted immediately and receive maximum punishment,” she said.

A video went viral showing a woman abusing a child. The police have arrested the woman and her partner for further investigation.
