Why do party hoppers escape MACC? – Zahida

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 August – Puteri chief Datuk Zahida Zarik Khan today questioned why those who jumped party after the 14th general election seemed to have escaped interrogation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
In a FB posting, she said such a scenario is very intriguing and raised a lot of doubts among the public.
“It happened during Pakatan Harapan (PH) when the MACC chief was among the highest leaders in PKR.
“Of course there were some kind of protections given to MPs supporting PH.
“However, on March 2020 Datuk Seri Azam Baki was appointed as the MACC boss, replacing Latheefa Koya. But why there was still no investigation?
“Are they immune from the law? Or is MACC still under pressure from certain politicians?”.
