UMNO Supreme Council member Ahmad Maslan has urged all parties to stop the polemics surrounding his statement calling on Umno members to support DAP candidates contesting in the state elections.

He explained that his remarks were meant to encourage Umno members to choose candidates from the ruling coalitions, and not only from DAP.

“As we are now in a team, that is not necessary,” he said.
