THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), similar to previous elections, has activated its operation room for the Kemaman parliamentary by-election in Terengganu starting Saturday.
Located at the Kemaman MACC branch at the Federal Building in Jalan Melor, Gong Limau in Kemaman, the operation room will be open for 24 hours until the polling day on Dec 2 to enable the people to channel information and complaints related to acts of corruption and abuse of power during the by-election.
The commission, in a statement today, also said the public can forward their complaints related to corruption or abuse of power by emailing the MACC at aduan.prk.terengganu@sprm.gov.my or by contacting 09-8502080.
“The MACC would also like to remind all candidates and political parties who are competing not to engage in any activities that may violate election laws and regulations in line with the MACC Act 2009 and the Election Offences Act 1954,” the statement read.
