SEMBRONG Member of Parliament Hishammuddin Hussein has reiterated his stance that he will not appeal the six-year suspension of his Umno membership.
The former Umno vice-president said this was because he still did not know the reason behind the party leadership’s decision to suspend him.
“Why would I appeal? Until now I still do not know why I was suspended,” he said briefly when met at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.
Hishammuddin was asked to comment on Umno’s decision to lift the suspension of former Pasir Salak MP, Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.
On Jan 27 last year, the party decided to suspend Hishammudin for six years. Apart from Hishammuddin, Umno also suspended former information chief Shahril Hamdan, and Tajuddin.
Former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin was sacked from the party.
