UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz is still a legitimate party member.

The Deputy Prime Minister said he has met Zafrul last week to discuss rumors that the Kota Raja division chief will leave the party soon.

“I advised him not to be hasty in making decisions as he won the division chief and the Supreme Council seats,” he said at the World Trade Center today.

Zafrul had on February 9 reportedly announced his decision to leave Umno and and was seeking advise from the president.
