KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah legislative assembly will be dissolved to pave the way for the 17th state election before its automatic dissolution on Nov 11, says Chief Minister Hajiji Noor.

However, he stopped short of saying whether the state assembly’s dissolution would be announced next month or in November.

“It will be before November,” he told reporters in Penampang, yesterday.

Hajiji said it would not depend on the meteorology department’s weather predictions, after the department said Sabah would experience wet weather in October.
