UMNO Veteran advise all members to respect the decision to field the party’s secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi as the candidate for Gerik parliamentarian constituency in the 16th general election.

Veteran’s secretary Mustapha Yaakub said he welcomes the decision made by party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Tuesday.

“Let’s respect the decision and welcome it.

“This will provide us with ample time to make preparation.

“It will also reduce whatever internal sabotage effect to the party,” he said.

Mustapha also hope Gerik constituents will accept Asyraf as their representative to the Parliament since he has proven success in many aspect, especially as the MARA chairman.
