FORMER prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s accusations against Umno for dividing the Malays is nothing new, says Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
The Defence Minister and Umno vice-president said the veteran statesman’s remarks were a “repetitive narrative”.
“He has always said similar things even from before so there is no need to comment,” he said, adding that it takes two to tango so he does not want to comment further.
He said that in Kota Tinggi on Saturday.
He denied that his move caused disunity within the Malay community, noting that while many chose to remain in Umno, others left but did not join Bersatu, leading to further split in support.
Meanwhile, when asked what would be discussed in the upcoming Umno supreme council meeting next Friday (April 17), Mohamed Khaled said he has not received the meeting agenda yet.
