UMNO has to turn down request from 68 foreign missions in Malaysia to attend its AGM at the World Trade Centre (WTC) next week.

Due to inadequate space, the party decided not to invite high commissioners, ambassadors or senior political officers this time around.

Their interest surged after the Sabah state election and Pemuda Convention on January 3rd recently.

The AGM (PAU – Perhimpunan Agung Umno) is set for 14-17 January.

The last time diplomats were invited to the party’s AGM was in 2021.
