Don’t take the law into your own hands

I AM perturbed by the spate of communal riots in Minnesota, New York and other major US cities in the wake of George Floyd’s death in what was described as the police brutality.

Public buildings have been torched, police vehicles have been firebombed and at least two people were killed in shootings amid the chaos over the past week. About 6,000 were arrested.

Dozens of cities, including Washington DC and New York are under curfew as the violence continues.

I hope the authority will put this to an end soon. The public too should observe the law by not taking it into their own hands.

The Covid-19 is now our common enemy which needs all of us to contain it together. Malaysians too must abide by the ruling if we want back our normal life.

We are multi-ethnic and multi-religion but we are all Malaysians. Stay that way.
