Not easy to bash up UMNO – Zahida

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 – UMNO is a party that remains relevant despite various challenges in upholding the well being of the people.
Puteri UMNO chief Datuk Zahida Zarik Khan said this was because the grassroots who formed the backbone of the party re always there to help strengthening it.
“UMNO’s life and death are not in your hands. Go ask the over 3 million UMNO members, is the party irrelevant? Alhamdulillah, UMNO’s footing is still strong and well taken care of by its loyal grassroots,” she said in a Facebook posting.
According to Zahida, this sacred party has contributed a lot to the country’s development and will continue to as it has done since its establishment 75 years ago.
She added that the recent statement by a leader from Bersatu who criticized the UMNO era is very inappropriate.
“Ironically, your former boss Tun Mahathir admitted that he ‘Still Love UMNO’. So, whose era is over?
“We are used to attack by many parties but to weaken UMNO is not easy, not easy as printing money,” she said.
