KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 – Umno Secretary-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan urges all quarters of the community to come in full force to weather four major adverse impacts outlined in the National Recovery Plan, namely Covid-19 pandemic, economy, politics and crisis of confidence.

“We are buying time as many die each day,” he said in his Twitter posting, today.

The Pontian MP was commenting on the National Recovery Plan (or Post-Pandemic Exit Plan) announced by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, yesterday.

The Plan was meant to have a more organised effort to contain the pandemic.

Ahmad also said the Parliament and State Assemblies sittings must commence as soon as possible.

“The Parliament and 13 Assemblies should be in session since all staff involved were already vaccinated. Speed up the vaccination program to achieve a herd community.

“The top economist should also sit down to find better solution to recovery.

“The people and the Rulers are unseparable.”

New cases of Covid-19 infection yesterday stood at 5,419, making it 667,876 in accumulation with 101 new deaths or totaling 4,069 thus far.

Report indicates that the Recovery Plan is meant to contain the pandemic through four phases of Movement Control Order (MCO).
