No Anwar, No DAP-PH stays

KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 – Umno has once again reiterated its stand not to support Anwar Ibrahim as a Prime Minister and let alone a DAP-PH led government.

This assertion was made by its president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who cited the decision made during the 2020 General Assembly.

“The Supreme Council (MKT) meeting tonight once again reaffirmed the decision reached at the 2020 General Assembly as not to support any move to make Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the premier or any DAP-PH led government.”

The BN chairman said this in a virtual press conference after the MKT meeting, also conducted virtually starting at 8.30PM due to the ongoing MCO.

Umno had previously fell under unscroupulous disposition on the social media for purportedly trying to form a new coalition with Pakatan Harapan components namely PKR, DAP and Amanah.
