Treacherous? Desperate propaganda – President

KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 – The R-naught or infectiousness Covid-19 rate as at July 9 has reached a high of 1.11 although ‘total lockdown’, CMCO and National Recovery Plan (PPN) are in place.

It is much higher than the 1.07 recorded on Jun 1st when the Movement Control Order was imposed which saw the daily new infection cases did not drop but shot up to above 9,000.

So are the new death, active cases and new cluster which are worrisome while the economy keeps depleting and assistances for the people are not sufficient.

As such is the scenario, party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi opines it is wrong for to assume Umno’s pressure for the prime minister to step down as an act of treason.

The BN chairman also noted in his FB posting that such an accusation was a desperate act of propaganda and ‘a outrageous spin’.

“The decree by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Malay Rulers on June 16 must be read inclusively, not by taking some patches of it do defend your personal interest.

“The decree contains some important aspects. Umno decision on July 7 derived after weighing each and every sentence of it and with deep comprehension. It is also after evaluating the economic condition, the people’s hardship and the country’s future,” he said.

Umno, he said will forever remain with the people.

“We uphold the sovereignty of the Palace,” he said.
