KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 – Young voters should be well-informed of Barisan Nasional (BN) than any other parties, said its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said BN is a democratic political coalition that remains relevant, everlasting and evergreen since 1973, besides being solid, strong, consistent and sustainable political coalition.
“It differs from other political coalitions that are fragile, poser and full of acting. They merged before splitting, then merged and split again.
“It comes under the whim and fancy of their leaders and not for the people,” he said in a FB posting.
The party president also said BN was never blamed as a political coalition for the people.
“Because of that, this ‘old-timer’ party has managed to radiate stability throughout its administration of the country. The stability brought by BN government dedicates to prosperity and well-being of Malaysia,” he said.
The Bagan Datuk MP added that young voters should be made aware of it so that they are not confused about the youth terminology in the political arena.
“Youth is not about the age of the party but policies and agendas that will benefit the young and old. Even though BN has existed for decades, it has never failed or made a mistake in understanding the aspirations of the young,” he said.
The coalition, he said has seen old and young leaders at its helm all the way.
“The old is packed with experience and knowledge, the new is fresh with new ideas and inspiration. Both synergise to uphold the interests of every race, religion, gender and age. In accordance with the philosophy, the young are embraced, that is how we cover everyone’s aspirations,” he said.
In that sense, Zahid hoped the young voters in Johor will understand this reality for the sake of their future.
