Umno runs in my blood, says Ismail Sabri

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 – Vice-President Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakub said no one can deny his loyalty to Umno, including those outside the party.
“My blood is Umno. My struggle is for the party,” he said at the closing of Umno General Assembly here, today.
He who is the Prime Minister said any decision reached by his Cabinet will take into account the importance of party struggle.

Ismail Sabri said he could not have been on the stage of the General Assembly as Vice President and Prime Minister without the blessings of the prayers and full support of members.
“Thank you to the President, Deputy President, Members of the Supreme Council and Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament who unanimously nominated me as Prime Minister, supported by the State, Division and Branch leadership,” said the Bera Division Head.
Since BN returned to lead the government, many successes had been achieved and all matters decided by the party Supreme Council (SC) meeting on August 27 last year were implemented with the support of his Cabinet members.
It include cross-party cooperation and consensus as well as focusing on efforts to address Covid-19, including vaccination through the National Children’s Covid-19 Immunization Program (PICKids).
The Prime Minister said there was no compulsion to receive booster doses to adults and children, instead the government encouraged its intake to protect Malaysian families.
Apart from that, Ismail Sabri said the interim report on the investigation into the disclosure of the book of former Attorney-General Tommy Thomas would be tabled next month and action would be taken if there was an abuse of power and selected conspiracies.
On the case of the death of firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, the prime minister said although the investigation was still ongoing, the government had paid ex-gratia amounting to RM1.5 million to the family of the deceased on Nov 29, further proving Umno’s determination to defend the people’s fate.
Apart from that, he said the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) investigation on the issue of management and operation of Lembaga Tabung Haji is expected to be completed by end of July.
