BARISAN Nasional had on Monday named Parliamentary candidates for the 15th general election, comprising of almost 70 per cent new faces after dropping several incumbents with more that four or five terms in service.
Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says the newcomers are those of between 18 and 40 years of age, and will give a vibrant picture of the coalition.
Among seniors dropped are Annuar Musa (Ketereh), Noh Omar (Tanjong Karang), Tajuddin Rahman (Pasir Salak) and Shahidan Kassim (Arau).
Deputy Chairman and Election Director Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, meanwhile says Johor is expected to contribute 20 Parliamentary seats in the GE, based on the success the recent state election.
