SABAH Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN) has tonight (Jan 6) withdrawn its support to Chairman of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister.

State Liaison Chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said the party has lost confidence in Hajiji as CM since there was a breach of agreement among them.

Sabah State Assembly comprises 79 seats, including six who were appointed.

With the decision, Hajiji now is reduced to 41 reps (29 GRS, 7 (PH), Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (3) and one each from Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah and Independent.

Warisan has 19 seats while PAS only one.
