WHILE incumbent Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced not to defend his post, eight candidates have confirmed their bid to wrest the three vice president posts in Umno.

The nomination, which closed at 5pm Sunday, saw Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Johari Abdul Ghani, Hasni Mohamad and Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail submitting their nomination forms.

Others are Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, incumbents Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Mahdzir Khalid and Azalina Othman Said.

However, Zambry withdrew from the contest today.
