A TOTAL of 118 candidates will contest Umno’s senior posts, notably vice presidents and the Supreme Council in the party election this month.

Chairman of Umno Election Committee Shahrir Abdul Samad said of the total, eight will try their luck for the three vice president posts while 95 for the Supreme Council.

Three nominations for the Supreme Council were rejected.
