CAMERON Highlands Member of Parliament Ramli Mohd Nor became the first Orang Asli appointed to Umno Supreme Council.

Secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the move proved that the party serves all Malaysians irrespective of their race, religion and cultural background.

Ramli is also the first Orang Asli made as the Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker.
