BUKIT KATIL, Oct 22 – Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has once again reiterated that the party will not cooperate with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), including in Melaka State Election (PRN).

The decision is final based on the party’s General Assembly (PAU) stance.

“Regarding Bersatu, we have decided that we will never work with them. The General Assembly has decided on it, respect it,” he said to reporters after attending a meeting at Umno Hang Tuah Jaya Division, last night.

Also present were Secretary General Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan; Melaka Liaison Committee Chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh and the state leadership.

Meanwhile, Zahid who is also Barisan Nasional chairman hoped that the party machinery would not take lightly all the preparations made before.

“Even though this PRN is a general election at the state level, the machinery must be ready at all aspects. In this case, Umno/BN will mobilize the entire machinery nationwide.”
